Meadowsweet
(Filipendula Ulmaria)
What is it?
Long a remedy for flu, fever, and arthritis, meadowsweet contains an aspirin-type compound called salicylic acid. It has antiseptic, anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties.
What it does in the body
Meadowsweet is used to treat rheumatism, ulcers, diarrhoea, kidney problems and gastric acidity.
